Remember: every Defender we sell always has a parking space reserved with us if you ever need to part with it. They’re family.
Federal Regulations – All of our vehicles are 100% legal and compliant with federal regulations. Our vehicles come with a clean, clear, transferable Florida title. Our North American spec (NAS) trucks can be titled in any state, our import trucks can be titled in any state but California.
Import records are all maintained and available on request.
Insurance – Vehicles are insurable through regular or classic vehicle insurance companies. We offer two types of Defenders:
NAS – originally built for sale in the United States in the 90s.
ROW (rest of world) – built for international markets, these trucks are 25 years old per federal regulations. As such, they are exempt from Federal DOT and EPA regulations.
Daily Driving – Although defenders are very simple and robust vehicles, and can be driven daily, they are not modern vehicles with today’s amenities and features. They can driven safely on the highway at speeds of 60-65 mph. You may pass the occasional old lady or slow trucks, but that’s about it. Enjoy the ride.
Personality – Defenders are very specialized, recreational vehicles. They are best enjoyed and not used for a arduous daily commute. They can be fun to drive, or miserable, based on your state of mind.
Geography – This is where defenders really shine. Historically, they were designed to be a tool for many applications. Agricultural, military, safari, utility, exploration, recreation, law enforcement, humanitarian aid.
Terrain – Defenders excel on many types of terrain. They will eat up miles on soft sand, mud, rocks, asphalt, or water. With the proper equipment, they can ford deep water. There’s a reason that Defenders have been on every continent.
Fits Right In – It becomes part of the family. Simple, robust vehicles, but they require basic maintenance to operate properly. Parts are readily available in the USA, and we are able to offer parts, assist with service, or fully service your Defender for you.
Quirks – In true British fashion, they tend to mark their territory with a few drips of fluids here and there, but it’s part of the quirky, lovable charm.
Investments – Although most vehicles can’t be considered good investments, Defenders have proven to hold their value exceptionally well. In many cases, they increase over the years. While we can’t guarantee an increase in value, we expect all Defenders to hold their value well.
Operating Costs – Typically Defenders require only basic maintenance. Many customers relate that these are the lowest cost, most enjoyable vehicles they have ever owned.
Blank Slates – The vehicles are a blank slate. Defenders lend themselves to a wide array of bolt on modifications that enhance the off road capabilities, appearance, comfort, presence.
